About Thomas Whitehurst

Thomas Whitehurst I was born in a very small town in Illinois.We moved,at a very young age, to Decatur, Illinois where I grew up and eventually attended both Eastern Illinois State College and Millikin University Majoring in Industry. I moved to the Chicago area and worked for Motorola, Zenith and retired from Shure inc. I bought my first film camera in 1972 a Minolta SRT101 and that started it all. I went digital in the 1990's. As you can see by viewing my photography I enjoy being outdoors and recording the wonders of nature. I also enjoy setting up and shooting "still life's". I do my processing via Adobe Lightroom and Elements, I shoot in the Raw format and convert to TIF or JPG as the job requires. I am a member of our local Art Guild… the art guild at Fairfield Glade, East Tennessee. We are able to exhibit at the Guild as well as several local Businesses' around town (Crossville, Tennessee).
